In this photo, an ornamental sweet potato with water droplets is shown from a closeup, overhead perspective. Also called Kumara (Ipomoea batatas), this plant has green and green tinted with red leaves with red veins. It was taken in late August in a container garden northern Illinois. Artistic edits were applied in Brushstroke.

I live in Southwest Michigan with my husband and three children, ages 11, 19, and 20. I enjoy taking photographs of flowers and other plants as well as landscapes during long walks around my neighborhood, on nature trails, or when I'm fortunate to be on vacation somewhere beautiful and interesting. Then, I have just as much fun during the editing phase of creating photographic art. When I'm not working as a psychologist, other pastimes include spending time with my family, writing, reading, and drawing. I am also an active member and volunteer in my church.
